MY
My interest in health and wellness was born out of my own health struggles. After spending the first 40 years of my life living on Diet Coke, fast food, and not a lot of sleep, I learned what not paying much attention to your body does for you. I finally got tired of feeling sick and tired. It took several visits to doctors for various ailments for me to wake up and realize I had way more control of the things that were happening to my body than I gave myself credit for. This led me on a journey to make changes, and learn all that I could about what it means to work toward true wellness.
As an elementary education teacher, I understand the importance of learning, and then teaching others what you have learned. That’s why in 2019, I became a Certified Functional Health Coach through the Institute of Functional Health Coaching. Life is all about using personal experiences to serve others, and that is what I aim to do with my health coaching practice.
It has always been my personal belief that health is not a one size fits all approach. Our bodies are uniquely made and what works for one person, doesn’t always work for another. When I work with people, we work TOGETHER to get to the root causes of the problem by looking at the body as a whole, integrated unit.
